What to do in case of a lost UNIL password?

If you lose your UNIL password to certain IT resources and services, you can:

  • Fill out the web form to request a new password. The new password will be sent by postal mail or by email depending on your status.
  • Go to the IT department help desk. A new password will be generated and will be given to you upon presentation of valid ID.
  • If you've already linked your edu-ID and UNIL accounts, you can use the self service password reset and set a new password now.
  • If you are looking to change your edu-ID password, please go to https://eduid.ch.

The new password cannot be given to you over the phone or fax for security reasons.
